COVID-19: Announcement of a Temporary Closure at Woodlakes Park

Following the statement given by the Prime Minister yesterday evening and the release of the new rules and staying away from others document regarding COVID-19, we are sorry to have to announce the temporary closure of Woodlakes Park to general guests and the public. On a more positive note, we are proud to be offering heavily discounted accommodation to key workers, including local NHS staff, at this very difficult time.

We must take the advice that has been issued very seriously, and prioritise the health of our employees, our guests, and indeed, our nation. For this reason, we have implemented a full closure with immediate effect in order to encourage as many people as possible to stay at home. This means that as well as closing our accommodation, we are also closing Woodlakes fishing lakes and access to the entire park.

We appreciate how important it is to have something to look forward to, so although our online bookings have been temporarily suspended, we are taking telephone and email bookings for June arrivals onwards at only a 5% deposit.

We are working as hard as we can to contact everyone who was due to stay with us in the next few weeks and our reception will be open for phone calls (01553 810 414) until 5 pm today and then from 9 am – 10 am every day moving forward. We have dramatically reduced our operating hours to ensure the health of our staff and we appreciate your understanding. However, if you cannot get through to us between these times via phone, please know that we are closely monitoring our email and social media inboxes. We expect to be very busy with queries so we thank you in advance for your patience.

We will be closely monitoring government statements and will, of course, keep you updated with any changes. Until we are able to safely open our park again, we send our well wishes to you all.
